How Dry Shampoo Changed My Life

With work and midterms around the corner, I haven’t had time to wash my hair. If you're just like me you know having to blow drying your hair and styling it takes a large amount of time in which many of us don't have.
Today marks the third day I haven't washed my hair and to be honest it feels and looks disgusting. In the past, I had never used any type of dry shampoo until today. I used to think it didn’t work and that it was a waste of money. Today, I decided to buy Dove Volume Dry Shampoo for $5.99 at a local Walgreens. For those who don't know what's dry shampoo, it's a dry substance that cleans your hair without the use of water.
Before I start describing my experience with Dove Volume Dry Shampoo I believe it's important for me to describe my hair. My hair is:
Bleached
Oily
Wavy
Medium/long length

Before & After

Once I arrived home I grabbed a hairbrush and a hair clip. The instructions on the bottle say to shake the bottle before use and to spray it about 8-12 inches from the head. As I followed the instructions I noticed a very pleasant scent that was coming out of the can. After spraying the dry shampoo onto my hair I started to brush my hair and started to notice the oiliness of my hair was starting to disappear.
Dove dry shampoo spray really did what it promised to do. It reduced the oily, greasy feeling of unwashed hair. This product has honestly changed my life.
What I enjoyed the most was that it left my hair feeling lightweight with a nice clean scent. The only thing I didn't really enjoy about this product is that I felt that it left my hair feeling dry. I don't know if its because I sprayed the dry shampoo too close to my head or if it's supposed to feel like this afterward. Besides that, I enjoyed this time saver product. I will be using it again since it does a great job and it’s also a time saver from having to wash your hair. Doves dry shampoo is also very affordable compared to other high-end brands that range between $22-26.
