Why Intentions Should be Part of your Morning Routine
March 11, 2018
Have you noticed that the first thing you think about in the morning can affect your entire day? This is because the morning is a powerful time to visualize and decide how you’re going to feel. Most of us forget about of this fact. So, why not take advantage of this time in your day to tell your mind what you actually desire to feel?
When you set a morning intention, you express what you want to show up in your day. As soon as you wake up, you can step into your power and make sure that you’re paving the way to make the most out of your waking hours. Morning intentions allow you to make the day ahead your b*tch!
So, when you wake up in the morning, ask yourself: “How do I want to feel today?” You can choose to feel: grateful… kind… loved… glamorous. There is no limit- choose whatever feels in alignment with your truth!
Think of your intention as an inner GPS. It allows you to stay on track and focused on the emotions you desire to embody. By acknowledging how you desire to feel all day, you can live and experience life with an entirely different sense of being- even when you’re just driving to work or drinking your morning coffee.
Getting clear on how you want to feel gives you clarity on the decisions you should be making throughout your day. You are setting yourself up for success this way because you focus on making choices for your better good! You will be able to say “no” to the things that are not serving you and how to know the difference.
Let’s say you woke up and you asked yourself: “How do I want to feel today?” You decided to set the intention that you want to feel healthy. You might find yourself tempted to go out with your friends later that night because it’s the weekend. (Duh!) However, you know that drinking a few glasses of rosé will make you hungry and you’ll just end up eating more nachos and fries than you really want.
You know that the outcome of this situation is not in alignment with your intention of feeling healthy. So, you make the decision to say “no” and pass up the opportunity. It will leave you feeling empowered and with more energy to do something that better serves you.
There is no limit on the intentions you set, just make sure it is a positive force to be reckoned with. Others will notice the difference in you and it can only justify that your mind is a such a powerful source! Not only will others notice your inner goddess come through, but you’ll feel it first and foremost. It’s likely to inspire those around you, too.
Try intention-setting as a part of your morning ritual and experiment with it. It could be the same intention every morning or it could be uniquely different- it doesn’t matter. Not before long you will start to notice that you align to the life you’ve really wanted to experience.
We get a chance to be different, to be better, every day. Since you know what you want, you can open up and allow yourself to focus on that desire, grab it, and allow it to be you. Move forward with great confidence in your intentions!

How You Can Support Other Women
February 23, 2023
Gladys Andrade
In the society we live in today it has been very difficult for women to support one another. Not because we don’t love each other but because the media has portrayed us to appear as we need to compete with each other. Unfortunately, this is the truth and it shouldn’t have to be this way. We as women shouldn’t have to compete with each other based on our looks nor our positions in life. We are all different and that’s what makes us beautiful. The importance of us supporting one another will determine the future of the next generation.
Living in a male-dominated world we need to learn how to support one another now more than ever. We need to start opening up more positions for women in the workforce. This will help increase the economy and better the lives of others.
Unfortunately, there are only a few women-owned businesses and we need to help by supporting them. By either buying our needs in their stores or by simply helping promote their business by word of mouth. Simple things like this help empower other women.
Something else we need to start by doing is mentoring one another. We need to start guiding the next generation to become better women. When I was 13, my Latin History teacher guided me throughout my college process and gave me very insightful advice on to become a successful Latina woman. Honestly, her advice helped me a lot but not only that, I felt honored that she went out of her way to help guide me to become a better woman. Mentors are very important in women's lives, we have all looked up to someone and it is time to have more women to look up to!
Something that I believe Dove has done a great job on is bringing the different type of women together. No matter the size or color of a woman we need to learn how to embrace each others beauty. That we are all different but we have something in common, we are women.
It’s time to support one another!
